Current Initiative

We are currently restructuring our home lab servers to lay the groundwork for a custom Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) database project. Operating on a strict budget and limited power capacity, we must keep our total server count low while maximizing efficiency. To achieve this, we are reorganizing our virtual machines across separate Proxmox hosts to divide the labor intelligently. All low-power, always-on services are being consolidated onto a single dedicated storage node to handle baseline operations. Concurrently, all intensive AI processing tasks are shifting to a high-performance compute node, ensuring stable daily uptime while providing maximum horsepower for the upcoming RAG database build.
